BIO

Jessie is an NYC-based Music Director, Pianist, and Copyist.

She grew up in Chicago* where she started piano at age 6. She was not an avid practicer which led her to sight-reading pieces in lessons - a trait that annoyed her teacher, but a skill that would come in handy much later in life. As a kid, she enjoyed transcribing songs from new shows before the sheet music became available. She has since set aside her illegal ways and now uses her skills for good by assisting artists in getting their shows down on paper.

Recently, Jessie was the AMD/Keyboard for GATSBY at American Repertory Theater (the Florence Welch version). Notably, she was a music team member of the 2022 Tony Award-winning production of KIMBERLY AKIMBO. In addition, she has also been on the music team for SOFT POWER at the Public Theater. She was also the inaugural Music Direction Apprentice with Encores! Off-Center for their 2019 season. She has also worked for 7th Ave Music Services, formerly the NYC branch of JoAnn Kane Music Services. She currently sub conducts over at SIX.

In addition to working on full productions, she has worked on various workshops and labs around NYC in a variety of roles as well as music directed shows at Feinstein’s/54 Below. She has also played auditions for theater companies, classes, and casting offices such as Tara Rubin.

Other theater companies worked with include The Eugene O'Neill Center (National Music Theater Conference), The Civilians, 5th Avenue Theatre, Pacific Conservatory Theatre, College Light Opera Company, and the Atlantic Theater Company.

Jessie is a graduate of Boston University where she received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.

She has two tuxedo cats named Pancake Kevin & Margaret and is now blonde.
